Of all the corners in the world, Le Sirenuse must be one of the highest-ranking happy places. Simply put, the hotel, family-owned and operated by the Sersales, is about as good as it gets. It’s where, for decades, travelers with a sweet tooth for la dolce vita have been served a generous portion of it. Nestled into the cliffside of the Amalfi coast village of Positano, the property is one that's perfumed with lore. Throughout the years, the Sersales have made slight interventions to keep up with the times—the building of an onsite spa, retiling the floors with hand-painted squares from Fornace De Martino, swapping out the Frette linens. Never has that meant closing the doors of Le Sirenuse in high season, but this spring owners Carla and Antonio Sersale did just that.
