Reflections on the First 100 Years” will be Patricia Sullivan, associate professor of history and African-American studies at the University of South Carolina; Robert L. Zangrando, professor emeritus of history at the University of Akron; and Kenneth W. Mack, professor of law at Harvard University. The symposium will explore both the history of the NAACP, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2009, and its future. Sullivan is the author of “Lift Every Voice: The NAACP and the Making of the Civil Rights Movement” (The New Press, 2009) and is a fellow at the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute at Harvard University; Zangrando is the author of “The NAACP Crusade Against Lynching,
